For thirteen years, Sarah Wonders waited. She prayed. She believed. She endured disappointment and fertility treatment, and wrestled with the distance between what God had promised and what she could see and through it all, she kept worshipping. Today, she has living proof.
There would be no album without the wait. Christian chart-nominated psalmist and songwriter Sarah Wonders releases her debut album titled “The End of the Matter.” These songs weren’t written from the sidelines of her story; they emerged from within it. Prayers set to melody, declarations made before circumstances changed, worship offered through disappointment, and songs of victory that took on new meaning when the promise finally bore fruit.
“My testimony is not simply that I waited thirteen years and eventually had a child. My testimony is that God sustained me in the waiting. He gave me songs in the waiting. He taught me to trust Him in the waiting. And now I can see fruit where for years I could only see by faith.” — Sarah Wonders.
Her message to anyone waiting for a child, for healing, for direction, whatever it is, do not mistake waiting for abandonment. Keep believing. Keep worshipping. Keep waiting. God remains faithful.
Rooted in contemporary Christian and gospel worship and enriched by her African heritage, the album traces a journey: waiting → worship → trust → surrender → victory → fruitfulness. Offering was born from heartbreak during her fertility journey; God Can Be Trusted began before an IVF egg retrieval and was completed five months pregnant; The Battle Has Been Won, a new album track, is a congregational anthem of victory.
Her singles have earned repeat Spotify editorial playlist placement (Fresh Gospel Africa, Praise and Worship, Higher, Naija Worship and more), and her music was streamed in 72 countries in a recent 28-day period.
