Here is Mahteens with ‘Iye’. Speaking about the song, Mahteens said ‘This song was inspired by the fact that we all go through life’s ups and downs even as Christians but all our victory lies in our King “Jesus” and if we profess victory through the storm it is impossible to not come out of the storm because our support is all powerful. Hence I said in Urhobo “oghene me ge ne ga’ meaning God is the all powerful and ‘Iye’ is and exclamation of happiness that symbolizes “Oh yes”.

Martins Omogbai (Mahteens), was born in Nigeria to Mr and Mrs Patrick Olufemi and he is the last of 3 children. He started singing at an early age after introduction to classical music and was Music director of his church at the age of 18 a position he held until he gained admission into school. While in school, he was privilege to minister with the Gospel Echoes in Auchi Polytechnic and later on with The Cu-Nifes Choir in the university of Benin where he was Choir Director in his final year. He finally hit the mainstream with his Debut Single “Breathe Out” featuring the Energetic and Inspirational Chudy who both graduated from the same university. And he has since followed up with this new sensational single “Iye” Be sure to expect more from this mind blowing gospel Gem in the future.
