Oluwakemi Falola, mononymously known as Oluwakemi, is back with a soothing sound titled Ayo Mi (My Joy)! She recently released this song which speaks of the boundless joy found in Christ. The song couldn’t have been released at a better time as the world battles a pandemic.
Ayo Mi opens with a soft piano, which shortly leads us to the beautiful vocals of Oluwakemi who declared in her native dialect that whether it be noon or night, alone or in the crowd, she was going to praise God who has been her joy at all times.
As she takes on a reflective journey through her solemn vocals, we are soon led to the deeper exhortation by Kent Oxygen (now Kent Edunjobi), of how our joy flows from the one and only true source, God.
Ayo Mi is a meditative song that everyone should listen to, especially in these uncertain times where everything constantly aims to drain us of our joy.
