The Nigeria International Gospel Music Awards (NIGMA) 2026 has officially announced its winners, celebrating excellence, creativity, ministry, and impact within the Nigerian and international gospel music community.
Organized by the Academy of Gospel Music Nigeria (AGMN), NIGMA was established to recognize gospel music ministers, creatives, industry leaders, ministries, and individuals whose contributions continue to inspire faith, hope, excellence, and positive transformation through gospel music.
Among the biggest winners of the night, Moses Bliss emerged as Artiste of the Year, while Gaise Baba featuring Lawrence Oyor won Song of the Year for their widely acclaimed collaboration, No Turning Back II.
Frank Edwards took home Album of the Year for Heart of Worship, while emerging gospel talent Tkeyz was named Sammie Okposo Next Rated Artiste.
Other major winners included Sunmisola Agbebi, who was honoured as Female Vocalist of the Year, and Tim Godfrey & Fearless Community, who emerged as Group/Choir of the Year.
Gaise Baba and Lawrence Oyor’s “No Turning Back II” Dominates
One of the standout successes of the awards was No Turning Back II by Gaise Baba featuring Lawrence Oyor, which received multiple recognitions.
The song won Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, and Afro-Gospel Song of the Year, further highlighting its impact within the gospel music community.
Meanwhile, Chinyere Udoma won Indigenous Gospel Song of the Year for Eze Abata.
International Recognition
NIGMA 2026 also celebrated the growing global influence of Nigerian and African gospel music.
Enkay was named Diaspora Artiste of the Year – Female, while Limoblaze received the Diaspora Artiste of the Year – Male award.
The international categories reflect the growing reach of African gospel music and the contributions of artists who continue to carry the sound and message of the Gospel beyond Nigeria.
