“APASE” is a word which means “Commander”. It is simply saying God is the commander and as humans, God deserves to be honored by obeying his commands. It is a word for this season and one that he expects to go across the four-walls of churches or denominations and bless the world at large.

Kehinde Micheal Oni, popularly known as Kenny Michael in musical circles, was born on the 15th January with an innate passion for music, he started ministering in the church’s choir at the tender age of seven. The first child of a family of three, he was mentored by his father; a pastor, a former time opera singer, and pianist, it was from him he learnt the values of holiness and purity as a worshipper.

After his secondary school education in Lagos, he proceeded to study accounting at the University of Ilorin with hopes of being a normal undergraduate student, but once again he found himself in the centre of God’s will when he was introduced to the Redeemed Church Christian Fellowship on campus, where his talent as a guitarist was noted and groomed. He later co-founded the Christian music group DEVOTED while on campus comprising of Dominion Akerejola (a current day gospel artist), SACO (popular Christian comedian), Kennedy Samuel, Sunday Indi, and Adewale Babajide. Together they toured the whole of the South West ministering next to great men of God like Pastor E.A Adeboye at the Redeemed Christian Camp, Dr D.K Olukoya at the MFM camp in Lagos, the list goes. He and other members of the group had to move on after graduation.

Bagging a BSC in Accounting, he focused on building a career as an Accountant with professional qualifications in Accounting as a member of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Management and a graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Banking and Commerce.

In December 2010, he released his first album titled ‘’PAGE ONE.’’ His vision is to see young people brought into a place of worship and purity in God through worship and impactful music.

Today, he is a full minister of the gospel and is married to his beautiful wife Mrs Oni. Together they travel the length and breadth of the nation ministering in songs.
