UK-based gospel music minister and medical doctor Mikey Adebayo has released his latest single, “The Upper Room,” a worship-driven song inspired by the biblical account of the disciples gathering in the Upper Room and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
The new release reflects Adebayo’s desire to see a fresh move of God in this generation, inviting listeners into a deeper place of prayer, worship, spiritual hunger, and expectation for revival.
Inspired by the events recorded in the Book of Acts, The Upper Room was birthed from Adebayo’s personal reflection on revival and the question of how believers can invite the Holy Spirit to move in similar ways today.
At the heart of the song is an invitation to seek God’s presence beyond the routine of religious activity. It points listeners toward the Upper Room as a picture of waiting, unity, prayer, surrender, and expectation—the posture that preceded the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

His journey in music began at the age of 11 when he joined his church choir and started learning the guitar. Having grown up within the church, he has served in various worship capacities over the years as a praise and worship leader, guitarist, and backing vocalist.
In 2023, Adebayo transitioned from primarily serving through live ministration and performance to creating music for audiences far beyond his immediate church community.
With The Upper Room, he continues that journey, combining his passion for worship with a message that speaks directly to the spiritual hunger for revival.
