Yesu (Jesus in Chichewa), is Mista Gray in his natural rapper element. He effortlessly describes who Jesus is to him, through his eloquent vernacular wordplay, skill and flow, similar to what he did on Suffix’s ‘Nyasa Bars.
The song features afro pop sensation Saxess, whose chorus perfectly sums up what the song is about. Saxess sings, “Moyo wanga, chili chonse ndimayika pa Yesu, sindidanda, kuli konse ndimayenda ndi Yesu”, which literally translates to “ Everything concerning my life, is on Jesus Christ, and I don’t worry because where ever it is I go, I go with Christ”
It has taken Mista Gray 9 months to release another song, after enjoying the success of his last single, Ndikuthokoza which featured Kelvin Sings. Yesu was produced by Blage, and recorded by the team at Manifest.
