Mercy Solomon as she is mostly referred to is a Nigerian worshiper, singer, songwriter and songwriter whose music has been a major blessing to the body of Christ and drawn many to the kingdom. The Akwa Ibom born Mercy Solomon Akalaka was formally known as Mercy Samuel Thompson before she got married few years ago.
Since she made her debut into the music industry in 2021 with her first single titled Ima Mmi which is translated as My Love, Mercy has been consistent and excellent in her delivery as she has dropped sounds which include Narekelemo, Andiwam and many others.
The professional beautician and Computer Science graduate has also been nominated for several awards and recognition including Mighty Hand international Music Award where she was emerged as the Artist of the year 2021.
Mercy Solomon Akalaka was born into the family of five in the early 90s and hailed from Etinan local government area of Akwa Ibom state. After losing her father at a young age, and had to fend for herself and as a result, she decided to take her music ministry serious from the beginning joining the children’s choir at age the age of 10 and subsequently moved into the adult choir in her local church.
Since starting her music journey professionally in 2021, Mercy doesn’t look like winding up as she has hosted her concert themed “Unlimited Praise” and has a lot of streams for her music on streaming platforms.
