Joyce Omondi

Biography

Joyce Omondi Waihiga is an award-winning Kenyan gospel singer/songwriter and TV host of Full Circle With Joyce, a social-issue and lifestyle talk show that airs live every weekday on Switch TV. She is also a seasoned event host and panel moderator with academic and professional experience in financial inclusion and international development.

In 2013, Joyce’s debut single from her first album, Conquerer, won the Groove Awards Video of the Year. Her second album, Spirit Vs Soul (2017) won Album of the Year at Maranatha Awards. In 2019, she held the first edition of ReJoyce, her live, praise and worship experience. Her music continues to raise the bar in the gospel music scene with many terming her lyrical, vocal, and musical prowess as uplifting, inspiring, and powerful.

In addition to music and media, Joyce is also passionate about social and economic development and desires to use her gifts to influence lasting change in Kenya. She double majored in Economics and Integrated International Studies for her undergraduate studies at Knox College in Illinois. In May 2015, she graduated with honors and a Master of Science in International Development from the prestigious Georgetown University in Washington DC.

In September 2019, Joyce was invited to attend the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Goalkeepers event in NY, USA which brings together a new generation of leaders to accelerate progress towards the global Sustainable Development Goals.
