Worship leader and recording artist Anne Ugobor announces the release of her deeply personal and powerful new single, Give Thanks Unto the Lord. Inspired by Psalms 30:11-12 and anchored in unshakable faith, the song offers a moving testament to God’s goodness in the midst of unimaginable sorrow.
Recently, Anne and her family suffered the sudden and heartbreaking loss of their 20-year-old daughter. Amid this pain, Anne found herself returning to a truth that had long been written on her heart: “Give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good. His love never fails.”
“Give Thanks Unto the Lord wasn’t written from the sorrow—it was written before the storm,” says Anne. “But now, standing in this valley, the words mean something deeper. They’re not just a declaration—they’re a lifeline. They remind me that God’s nature doesn’t change, even when life does.”
Rooted in Psalm 30, Give Thanks is a worship anthem that speaks of mourning turned to dancing—not because loss disappears, but because God’s presence draws near. Anne describes the song as her personal offering of praise through grief, a choice to believe that God’s love remains faithful even when circumstances are not.
“I offer this song in loving memory of my daughter, and in solidarity with anyone walking through grief, disappointment, or unanswered prayer,” Anne shares. “May these words help you breathe again, live again, believe again.”
