Sunday Ekaidem, a UK-based Nigerian gospel artist, is back with a powerful new single titled “The Rest & Best of My Life”. The song, which marks his first release of 2025, is part of an upcoming album slated for release later this year.
“The Rest & Best of My Life” was birthed from a deeply personal moment of reflection during one of his prayer sessions in 2022. He found himself meditating on the incredible works of young men and women doing great things for God, both in various communities and online. In that sacred moment, he asked himself, “When these people were preparing for their current exploits, what was I doing with my life?”
This question led to a prayer of surrender. He shared, “I began to tell God that, even though I couldn’t change my past, I would give Him the REST OF MY LIFE, which I believed would be the BEST part of my life.” From this prayer, the words of the song began to flow naturally: “Let the rest and the best of my life, be Yours, be Yours…”
This single is a prayer of consecration and a declaration of commitment to God’s will, reminiscent of a soldier pledging allegiance to his commander. With “The Rest & Best of My Life”, Sunday invites listeners to join him in offering their lives as a living sacrifice to God, trusting that the remainder of their days will be used for His purpose.
Sunday Ekaidem’s music journey began in 2021 with the release of his first singles, Holy Spirit, Quickening Spirit and Hossana. Despite being fully engaged in his medical career, his unwavering passion for God’s work through music continues to shine brightly. He serves as a choir director at his local church, where he also writes anointed songs that uplift and inspire. His commitment to worship extends beyond his church, regularly engaging with his growing online community through spontaneous worship sessions.
He is married to Oluwatobi, and together they have four children.
“The Rest & Best of My Life” is now available for streaming on all major platforms.

THE REST & BEST OF MY LIFE
Yeah, eh oh,
Ooh Thank you, Jesus
Let the rest and the best of my life
Be Yours Be Yours
Let the rest and the best of my life
Be Yours Be Yours
Let the rest (let the rest and the best of my life)
Be Yours Be Yours
I give it to You (let the rest and the best of my life)
Be Yours (be Yours) Ooh (be Yours)
Take it high (let the rest and the best of my life)
Make it Yours (be Yours) Be Yours
I give it unto to you (let the rest and the best of my life)
Everything that I have (be Yours) Ooh (be Yours)
One more time, high!, let the rest and the best of my life
Make it Yours (be Yours) Ooh, Yours (be Yours),
yeah It is no longer I (let the rest and the best of my life)
That lives (be Yours) Ooh (be Yours)
Help me to crucify myself
That I may glorify Your holy name
Let the rest and the best of my life
Be Yours (be Yours) Ooh (be Yours)
Lord, help me to crucify myself
That I may glorify Your holy name
Let the rest and the best of my life
Be Yours (be Yours) Be Yours
Aye aye Captain! Answering Your call
Count me in the army
count me in the army (that will fight Your war)
From this moment
Giving You my all
‘Til I reach Your kingdom and will fight no more
I hear You calling me (aye aye Captain!)
Calling me (answering Your call)
Captain! (count me in the army)
count me in the army (that will fight Your war)
From this moment
Giving You my all
‘Til I reach Your kingdom and will fight no more
Let the rest (let the rest and the best) and the best (of my life) of my life
(Be Yours) be Yours (Be Yours) be Yours
(Let the rest) I give it unto You (and the best of my life)
Hallelujah! (Be Yours) Make it Yours (be Yours)
Let the rest (let the rest) and the best of my life
Be Yours (be Yours) Be Yours (be Yours)
Let the rest (let the rest and the best of my life)
Oh, thank You Jesus (be Yours)
Be Yours
Let the rest and the best of my life
Be Yours Be Yours
Let the rest and the best of my life
Be Yours Be Yours
