UK-based Gospel music minister, Tosin Oyelakin, is out with a brand-new single titled “Because He Lives,” a stirring song of faith, healing, and resurrection power.
The song was birthed on Easter Sunday in 2023, during a deeply personal health challenge. Drawing inspiration from the resurrection story and the promise of new life through Christ, Tosin penned “Because He Lives” as a bold proclamation of her faith in the risen Saviour.
Reflecting on the song’s origins, Tosin shares: “As I proclaimed the words of God as written in this song over myself while battling a potentially serious illness, I witnessed the hand of God intervene — reversing a negative diagnosis and restoring my health and strength. I am now completely healed, and as I declared life and health, the Lord honoured His Word in my life!”
She believes this song is not just a testimony but a prophetic declaration. “Anyone who is sick, battling with any kind of affliction, or longing to experience Christ’s life in different areas should sing and declare this song over themselves,” Tosin encourages. “The Lord will do it again, just as He promised.”
