Award-winning worship artist Stephen B. Steward, in partnership with LOV Olive Branches, CDC – a nonprofit organization serving at-risk youth, announces the talent call for the highly anticipated annual “SBS Youth Talent Competition.”
Accepting submissions from solo and group acts since March 11, applicants aged 5 to 17 are encouraged to visit http://www.stephenbsteward.com/2015-talent-competition to upload videos demonstrating their talents in singing, dancing, acting, playing instruments, and spoken word. After talent submissions end on May 11, finalists in each school category (Elementary, Middle, and High School) will be selected and announced to perform at the annual SBS Youth Music Festival this year held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on July 11. At the festival, Los Angeles Councilmember Curren Price Jr. (9th district) will offer opening remarks and will arrange for bus transportation for participating students that need it.
Judged on criteria that will include originality, stage presence, performance quality, musicianship and overall likeability, the Grand Prize winners of each school category of the competition will receive a $1000 scholarship.
