Shay E is an independent Nigerian artist, songwriter and audio engineer. He is also a graduate of the department of mechanical engineering, University of Lagos. He has been putting out music officially since 2013 and is set to release his debut EP titled “Relentless” on the 17th of July 2020.
His most recent single titled “Concrete Yard” features Lagos based singer-songwriter Babyboy, and is currently available on all streaming platforms.
‘Relentless” is a 7 track EP by Lagos based artist Shay E. The major theme on the project is a strong desire for self development and improvement against all odds. The rapper makes use of vivid storytelling on tracks such as “Too Many Reasons” and “Seen a Lot”. Wordplay and intricate rhyme schemes are also heavily used all through the body of work.
“Relentless” is an introspective project, with minimalistic, yet impactful production infused with witty lyrics and hypnotic melodies. All tracks on the project were engineered, mixed and mastered by Shay E. Cover artwork was also designed by the multi-talented artist.
