Princewill Kalu is a Nigerian born gospel music minister, worship leader & choir director at the Assemblies of God Church silver valley Port Harcourt, where his father is the current senior pastor.
His journey into gospel music started at the age of 8 when he joined the children’s choir at the Assemblies of God Church, Rumuomasi Port Harcourt, Nigeria. No doubt at all to say his early childhood experiences and exposure to the gospel music ministry has formed the bedrock of his present day.
As a pastor’s son PK (as he’s fondly called) has been opportune to serve as choir director hosting and co-hosting music concerts in both the youth and teenager’s ministry of different Assemblies of God churches & other denominations due to several transfers of his dad from one church to another and sometimes by special invitations to minister.
In 2011 Princewill decided to go into recording of his own songs, His radio friendly debut single titled “What Faith Can Do” did not only achieve a milestone for him as a new artiste in the scene, but it was also a stepping stone for the listener to lean on and understand what faith can do. In this song, he says; “all you need is faith as little as a mustard seed because your faith guarantees you a miracle, therefore don’t allow the past disappointment you experienced in life to stop you from having faith in God, the just live by faith.” A year after the release of what faith can do, Princewill also released other songs like “Love & Grace” and a Christmas song “Peace on Earth”
Today, as Princewill releases his new single titled Jesus Saves, he is promising every member of the gospel music community that by God’s grace he is joining force with other gospel music ministers in Nigeria and the world at large to win, build and equip souls for the kingdom even as they take gospel music to another level.
