News: WAOMM Classy & Sassy Website Unveiled

WAOMM-LOGO-2-2Women of African Origin in Music Ministry (WAOMM) launches its brand new website on Saturday 01 May 2014. WAOMM is a global non-profit making organisation set up with the objective to act as a bridge; a springboard; a voice; and a support system in and through which women of African origin in music ministry can be supported, encouraged and empowered to discover, develop, demonstrate and deliver excellence in their ministries to the glory of God.

WAOMM stands out as an innovative, ground-breaking and pace-setting body which will nurture, represent and showcase the rich, diverse and versatile ministries of African women in music across the world.

Backed by some of the most successful African entrepreneurs and Gospel heavyweights such as Pauline Long (Founder of BEFFTA Awards), Zanele Mbokazi (Founder of Crown Gospel Music Awards), Charles Koranteng (Co-Founder of African Gospel Music Awards) and Victor Igbinigie (Nigeria Gospel Music Awards and Crystal Awards), WAOMM has started off on a very strong footing whilst setting itself some very ambitious targets in supporting women of African origin in music ministry.

With honourable ambassadors including such respected voices as Emmy Kosgei, Juliet Fletcher and Diana Hamilton, who are in their own rights, accomplished and established voices in music ministry, WAOMM’s has announced itself as a credible body with a serious mandate.

This is what the founding president of WAOMM, Isabella Ogo-Uzodike, had to say about the launch of the WAOMM website

“It is truly exciting to see this major milestone being reached so soon after the WAOMM vision was birthed. This is only the beginning, we have so much more planned in the next few months including an inaugural launch in Lagos Nigeria in August 2014, an inaugural dinner launch in Maryland, USA in October 2014, a major event in the UK in the first quarter of 2015, a WAOMM radio Talkshow and a WAOMM TV Talkshow. These plans will come to fruition, thanks to the hard work of our National Coordinators who are all recording artistes and experienced ministers of the Gospel. Some of WAOMM’s immediate priorities are to form strategic partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders and to deliver learning and development programmes for WAOMM members. This is  a very crucial time to join the WAOMM movement so that we can build and grow together.”

Details of how to join WAOMM are all in the website www.waomm.org. For any enquiries, send an email to info@waomm.org.
