Ebiere Ohochukwu popularly known as Ebiere, is one of Nigeria’s leading gospel music icons. Her unique captivating voice can be identified anywhere it is heard. The Port Harcourt born artiste officially began her singing career in 2004 and has released three albums since then. She is known for consistently releasing timely hit songs; “ Yekileme” & “Push my Praise” (2005), “Tamara Mbana” &” Omi-Olota” (2008). The award winning vocalist is a passionate music minister, music director, song writer, performing Artiste , sister, mother and wife.
Her third Album “Pot of Gold” (2013) has just been released. Over the years she has shared the stage with world renowned Nigerian Gospel artiste like Mike Aremu, Sinach, Asu Ekiye, Samsung, Frank Edwards to name a few. She has worked with Nigeria’s leading music producers like Cobhams, Wole Oni, OJB Jezreel, King Buskie, A4 etc.
Her sound could be defined as a fusion of Afro and Western Gospel Rhythm and beats; this is due to her early influences of western and African music in general. Her vocal purity can pitch every soul. Ebiere is determined to take the gospel to the ends of the earth through the tools of music and Voice that God has given her, She presently functions as the Music Director of her church Christ Embassy Trans Amadi in Port Harcourt city Nigeria, but she reaches out through her ministry “House of Ephraim”; which is a music company that incorporates various aspects of music and music production.
Her purpose is to go into the world and preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, winning souls for Christ through the music and abilities that God has equipped her with.
