The release of “All That I Ever Need”, the first project from gospel force Ebony Omar, is just a few months away. In order to prep listeners for the project Ebony has released a debut single from the project entitled “You Reign” via his own record label. The up tempo praise song features song writing from the artist himself and also musical and vocal contributions from a team who has worked with the likes of: Marvin Winans, Kierra Sheard, Mary J. Blidge, etc. The project’s producer describes the single as “everything you love about gospel, and yet the greatest thing you have yet to hear”. Since the single has been released it has received nothing but favorable reviews from critics and listeners. The week of release Ebony received the spotlight on MIX 92.3’s finest local artist.
Freshmen artist Ebony Omar is bred from Gospel’s leading city, Detroit. Has shared the state with the likes of Marvin Winans, Kurt Carr and Martha Munizzi. In addition, made the top ten cut in the 2010 season of BET’s Sundays Best.
