Meet Uche: Born to the highly musical family of Monye of Delta State, Nigeria on the 26th of March, 1990, in the city of Benin, Edo State, where she also grew up, UchE (full name, Uche Esther Monye) is a talented singer and bass guitar player who took interest in music when she discovered her passion for it at age 12. She started singing in Church, where she developed her vocals and began performing at concerts and events, professionally, at 16. She took interest in the bass guitar at 18 and became the first female bass player in the Edo State, Nigeria.
In 2009, she emerged the 1st runner up in CGM’S Got Talent competition. She has worked with Victor Atenaga, Osene Ighodaro and SimplyWorship International, as a back-up Singer. UchE’s first Single, I Remember was released in 2009—a song which started off her own Career as a Singer. She has performed with notable Nigerian acts like Samsong, Dikky, Frank Edwards, and the likes.
She is a student of the prestigious University of Nigeria, where she is currently studying Music. The Promo copy of UchE’s new hit Single, Heaven, is already rocking the air waves across the continent.
