Meet the Transformers, a Gospel Hip Hop music group from Botswana, that comprises of three young men commissioned to taking the Gospel to the youths through Music (Hip Hop). Tha-MVP (Group Leader), Crazy-Kid, and Legit. Caleb (Crazy Kid) is a teenager from Bobonong born in a family of 6. A well known person who is energetic and hard working and loves God.
LeGit (Joshua Vanheerden) is a person who gets along with everyone, a friendly guy, a kind person, who is God fearing and loves God.
Tha-MVP (Bokamoso Harrison Mokola) is loving, hardworking and approachable, Loves God with his everything, God fearing and very humble.
The Transformerz as a Group was formed in December 2012. Crazy-Kid and Legit approached Mvp as he was an already established artist and wanted to do music.
According to the group ‘Then Mvp asked them to come up with something and since then we decided to make a group and make good music for there was something in the youngsters that was extraordinary and amazing. The passion God gave us, the humility, ambition, was over whelming. We are all Christians and really love God with our hearts. Our aim is to show people the unending love of Jesus Christ and tell them about the Gospel so that they get saved and give their lives to Christ. We do music which inspire, motivate, change, heals, saves and encourage people. Then the 1st song we did was I’m Back (which simply means we do God’s will fully now and we ain’t stopping), Projects -Transformerz- (Mixtape) which is a Gospel album and will be featuring a couple of local talents. -Mvp’s Debut album “All Or Nothing” which is a Hip Hop Gospel Album’.
…’The reason why we be doing gospel music is because God gave us the talents we have and we want to praise him with what he has given us, and to do his will and tell people about him through music. Psalms 125:1-2 (Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which can never be shaken, never be moved. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people now and forever) “With God everything is possible”.
