Contemporary Christian singer/songwriter and producer Johnny Drille who came to the fore through West Africa’s foremost reality TV show, MTN ProjectFame in 2013 brings to us his self-produced Christmas song he calls “Happy Day”.
The song features remarkably features only acoustic instruments as an acoustic steel guitar, a glockenspiel, an upright/acoustic bass, accordion, organ, as well as meaty drums and claps, all driven by lush and prominent vocals.
According to Johnny “Christmas should no longer be just fun-fare but also a time to ponder upon the amazing love of Christ, of The Father which should in essence make us share that same love to everyone around us, that is the true essence of Christmas, and it is what I sing about”.
