Motown Gospel Earns 8 Dove Award Nominations | @MotownGospel |

motown-v10Premiere record label, Motown Gospel, garners multiple nominations for the 47th Annual Dove Awards, announced yesterday. Several of the label’s artists were represented across many categories.

Among the top nomination-getters is Grammy Award winner, Tasha Cobbs who received 4 nominations for her outstanding current album “One Place Live.” Cobbs was nominated for Gospel Artist of the Year and Urban Worship Album of the Year. She also picked up nominations in two song categories: Traditional Gospel Recorded Song of the Year “Put A Praise On It,” and Urban Worship Recorded Song of the Year “Fill Me Up.”

Also receiving multiple nominations is Gospel music vet, John P. Kee, who received two nominations for his Motown Gospel release “Level Next.” Kee was nominated for Traditional Gospel Album of the Year and Traditional Gospel Recorded Song of the Year for “Level Next.”

Also receiving nods are two up and coming talents, Janice Gaines and Lifestyle Music’s Tim Bowman Jr. who were both nominated for their debut singles in the Contemporary Gospel/Urban Recorded Song of the Year for “Wait On You,” and “I’m Good” respectively.
