“…am neither angel nor demon, am human…” Listening to this project makes me doubt these lines from the 16th track on the mix tape Angels and Demons; Deo might not be an Angel but he can definitely make demons bump to these beats.
This project is a breathe of fresh air; with songs like “Missing Minim”, ” Blank” and “Who We Are” featuring Jiya, these arrangements of tracks from reverend artist Deo sounds more like an album than a mix tape with one central theme; Identity.
There’s something for everyone; hard baselines for the hip-hop heads, a love song for the romantically inclined; Sick story lines, word plays and punch lines for the deeper listeners. From car rides to moments of deep solace, you can even find tracks to sing along in long car rides with Mom.
A graduate of Electrical/Electronics Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Minna, he occupies his free time himself writing poems, presenting spoken words and short stories. He is Signed under Broken Recordz alongside hard spitters Aiken, Fredd and MC Lois. This is the first Project put out by the quad but definitely just a lift pad for other projects as the year unfolds.
