Biography
Joyce Ejiogu is a Christian-gospel songwriter and worship leader. Her full name is Joyce, Ihechiluru, Oluomachi (Mgbeike) Ejiogu-Schmeer. The third child in a family of four children. She studied food science and technology with a bias in analytical chemistry and a postgraduate diploma in management.
She started writing her songs at the age of 9 out of inspiration, which was basically made up of modern worship and praise songs. She was selected for radio and TV Children’s Varieties moderation at this age and was couched by well-known music directors in her city during this period. She was active in both her church worship bands and choirs and finally founded a handful of groups and bands before leaving her country, Nigeria, for Germany in 2002 on the grounds of family re-union.
Joyce has released three solo albums: “Only You” in 2006, “One More Time” in 2010, and “Masterpiece” in 2016. These have brought her into contact with great Christian artists in Germany, Europe, and many other countries.
Joyce was a performing artist at Music Fever Zentrum in Germany and was also a member of the jury for the casting of “Your Voice 2013”.
Through her music ministry, “Jubilant Praise Music Projects,” she actively got involved in Christian music outreaches, fellowships, and music workshops with different worship bands and groups in Germany and Europe, eventually becoming the founder and co-ordinator of the “Hour of Praise and Worship (a worship band with both children and adult choir teams).
She donates part of the sales of her CDs to some non-profit organisations for persecuted Christians and children’s orphanages.
