Josh O’maiye Annouces new single “Being Good” in preparation for Debut Album | @Josh_Omaiye |

Lagos based Dynamic music minister and rock-themed Worship Leader, Josh O’maiye is set to release a brand new single titled “Being Good”, off his soon to be released album.

According to Josh, “Being Good” was written off the back of quite a difficult few months. I lost my mum in very sudden circumstances in December 2023, and we immediately had to prepare to lay her to rest. There were no saved funds for this purpose, and in terms of preparation for that sort of thing, there was very little. But soon things started to fall in place and my siblings and I pulled through remarkably. Basically, there was supply.

Soon I began to reflect on how things had turned out. I was clearly not excited about losing my mum, but soon my reflections began to pull the darkness away from my mind, and I began to count one, two, three things that God had done for me over the previous year. I started a new job, I started a very beneficial relationship that is leading to marriage, and financially, things got better. It became my conclusion that despite my loss, there were other things that had worked out for me, and that God was still in the room, doing good, taking care of me, and helping me.

In the end, “Being Good” is a song that recognizes that it’s been God all through. We do not always look like what we have been through, and that’s because God is still in the room, “Being Good” to us. This song is for everyone who has a testimony. It’s for everyone who looks back and sees God in the room. Through the storm, complexities and uncertainties of life. He’s been good to you. Hasn’t he?

Josh O’maiye attributes his musical influence to some gospel greats such as Donnie McClurkin, Alvin Slaughter, Michael W. Smith, John P.Kee and other contemporary worship artiste.

While growing and owning his skill, Josh had served as the Music Director of the Nigerian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (NIFES), Kogi State University between 2010 and 2012.

He is also a Legal Practitioner and Founder of Giantfeet Youth House Initiative; a youth-based inter-religious organization helping youths discover self-worth and purpose.

“Being Good” will be available on all streaming platforms on 13th September, 2024.
