Meet Norris Jackson III, better known as EJ, a Chicago bred singer and songwriter who has already shared the stage with artists such as Ivan Neville, Shele Sondhiem, Paula Cole, Jonathan McReynolds, and Charlie Sexton. With a strong passion for music, and an even greater passion for God, EJ has been writing songs for nearly 10 years, and has been singing twice as long; since the age of four specifically. Utilizing all of the knowledge and skills that he refined while earning his Bachelor of Music degree in Contemporary, Urban, and Popular Music as a 2012 graduate of Columbia College Chicago, EJ has released his debut EP, Supernaturally Loved, which features 6 of his original songs that he both wrote and produced. His single, I Don’t Want To Break Your Heart has been well received by listeners, and he hopes that the rest of his music will be just as accepted.
With a wide variety of musical influences, such as The Beatles, Smokie Norful, John Legend, Keith Urban, Musiq Soulchild, Michael Bublè, Jason Nelson, Brandy, Kierra Sheard, Rascal Flatts, and John Mayer, he hopes to create an impact on everyone that hears his music with his practical, inspirational, empowering lyrics as the music and essence of his influences have impacted him.
His latest single ‘I Don’t Want To Break Your Heart’ is an RnB song that simply speaks for itself… Rhythm and Blues. It is a beautiful one. A must listen.
