Gospel music newcomer, Ikenna Onyebuchi Okafor, now referred to by his initials IOO is a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who currently serves at Christ Radiant Church, a recently planted Pentecostal church based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Called to prepare a church without spot, wrinkle or blemish, making ready a people prepared for the Lord. He became a minister according to the gift of grace of God given to him to teach and preach the gospel of Christ (the unsearchable riches of Christ) and Him crucified.
A student affairs practitioner, he has a Master of Science degree in Service Leadership and Innovation from Rochester Institute of Technology, New York. IOO is a man who is filled and operates in the power of the Holy Spirit. A devoted minister of God, whose passionate mission and goal is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the endof the earth by proclaiming the power of God through music and God’s Word. He is married to Marilyn Okafor and they are blessed with four children.
Ikenna alongside his beautiful wife Marilyn Okafor, has a new single titled “Most High”.
The new single according to him, “is the first song he has ever written, it is also his first studio work.
“The inspiration for this song was borne out of my personal walk with God through the scriptures. As I came to see and experience his love, wisdom and awesome power; I better understood my need for Him. Instead of coming to God with complaints about my unfulfilled selfish desires, I come to Him with praise, worship and adoration for who He is (Most High) and for what he has done for me. I came to realize that praising and worshiping the Most High God is a normal response to what He has done for me and who He is. As my walk with Him deepens, I understand that praise is a vital part of a life surrendered to God. I also realize that praising God is His due, and I, as a Christian, I have the chance to praise Him now that I have breath.
As I grasp the meaning and the understanding of some of His many names, my reverence for Him grew. As I came to terms with the depths and the height of God, my awe of Him intensified. Since I always have my notebook and ball pen by my side during my devotional times, I found myself moved one day to write this song, and I obeyed. One step of obedience led to another, and Most High a song of praise and adoration to God was born. This is one of the many blessings of my obedience”, Ikenna said.
