GRACE is a fresh voice in Inspirational Christian music out of North Carolina. While all using their musical talents separately in church, singing background, and providing session vocals for many local and mainstream gospel artists, in 2013 these five psalmists decided to follow the unction of the holy spirit and joined forces to create one powerful group. While each powerful individually, Melvin Aikens Jr, Janae Brown, Alisha Henderson, Gene Hoskins, and Ajay Simmons collectively form the extremely powerful Grace. Together their sound is uniquely incomparable and their heart towards God and ministry is vibrantly evident. Through God-centered music, they desire to showcase for the world our Christ, his love, and his enduring grace for all people
If one phrase could adequately describe our ministry it would be “We Are, Because of Grace.” This is the message we would like to send to the entire world.
“Drifting” is a simple ballad that vividly paints the picture of what a life with out God would be like. We want listeners to really listen to the words and think about where they would be without God. We realize that without God we are nothing, and if he ever left our lives then we would be
“somewhere drifting…” The song is a simple plea to God, asking him to never disconnect himself from us.
