Nashville’s ‘Biggest Gospel Concert’ Features Grammy Award-Winning Artists and Benefits Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital
After nearly five months since moving its home offices to Music City, Chirrpy, LLC announces the opening of its new division, Chirrpy Entertainment. To celebrate the expansion, Chirrpy, an online ticketing and event management company, is producing what is expected to be the “Greatest Gospel Music Concert of 2014” in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Sound – 2014 Worship Experience will take place Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church (7594 Old Hickory Blvd. Nashville, TN 37189). Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the show is set to begin at 7 p.m.
Gospel sensations Grammy Award-winning artists John P. Kee, Kim Burrell and Le’Andria Johnson will be the highlight performances of the night along with several of Nashville’s own local artists.
The show will be hosted by Nashville’s Connie Donnell of 92Q and Damon King of 102.1 FM – The Light.
The admission fee is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Chirrpy Entertainment’s partner, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital, in an effort to help fund research to find a cure for pediatric cancer. About the Artists
John P. Kee is the multi-award winning artist who has sold over 10 million albums to date and has won the following awards: 21 Stellar Awards, one Soul Train Award, two Billboard Music Awards, and seven Grammy nominations. In 2005, he was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. His music catalog is said to be one of the largest in the world today by an individual publisher/writer.
Le’Andria Johnson is BET’s Season 3 winner of Sunday Best – the number one gospel singing competition that boasts more than 2 million viewers each season. Johnson is a Grammy Award-winning artist and has had three number one albums on Billboard’s gospel charts.
Kim Burrell is known as “The Voice” across the world and in various genres of music. With being a Grammy-nominated, three time Stellar Award winner, and a Dove Award-winning artist, Burell has been influencing artists such as Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, and Harry Connick, Jr. Burrell serves as a vocal mentor on BET’s Sunday Best.
