ABOUT LISA: Lisa Knowles is a refreshing, powerful, expressive, new voice in gospel has currently been wooing audiences all over the country. She delivers with vocal excellence and has a presence that connects with the heart of every listener. Singing since she was just a little girl, Lisa Knowles has always been full of surprises.
Many may know of this gospel sensation as the lead vocalist of the legendary, 3X Stellar Award Nominated quartet group, Lisa Knowles & the Brown Singers. Known for songs such as “Work on Me”, “I need you Lord Jesus” and “Sweet Jesus,” Lisa Knowles brings a whole new favor to the quartet market. Currently serves as one of the praise and worship leaders at her local church, Cummings Street Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Gary Faulkner, Sr. Her most recent performance included an unforgettable musical Tribute to the Legendary Pastor Kim Burrell at the 2012 Urban Soul Café Access Grant event, Stellar Award Weekend and the Annual BMI Tribute luncheon doing a tribute to Kurt Carr “Oh My Soul Loves Jesus.”
Lisa has toured on the Unity and One Tour with James Fortune, VaShawn Mitchell and Kiki Sheard. Lisa has had the privilege of leading with and providing background vocals for notable gospel recording artist(s) : Sheri Jones-Moffett Renewed, Vickie Winans How I Got Over, Earnest Pugh Earnestly Yours, The Williams Brothers Celebrating 50 Years, J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise, Thanks, & Declaration, Pastor John P Kee, and many others. In preparation for her debut solo recording, Lisa is geared to step to the foreground and begin her journey to becoming one of gospel music’s most remarkable voices.
