Dr. Mark Williams is a physician, lecturer, worship leader, songwriter, husband and father who has intricately merged his music, his medical practice, and his ministry leadership into a fulfilling lifestyle that touches a countless number of people across the nation. Also known as “The Voice Doctor”, Williams has a thriving medical practice – The Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists of Nashville and The Voice Care Center of Nashville and is an adjunct professor at Meharry Medical College. He is a worship leader at Oasis Worship Center of Nashville, and with his love for music and songwriting, Williams has multiple national CD releases and an all new album WHEN A MAN WORSHIPS.
WHEN A MAN WORSHIPS released in August and includes an eclectic array of jazz, Caribbean-styled, traditional and contemporary gospel songs. Williams incorporates his signature entrancing vocals, poignant lyrics, and high impact praise on this album and has heart stirring and breathtaking companion videos that will release this year as well.
On the title track “When A Man Worships”, Williams partners with the incredible Darwin Hobbs to deliver this powerful inspirational worship ballad. Williams and Hobbs are long-time friends and both natives of Cincinnati, OH. Williams’ lead radio single “Higher Ground (Pressing On)”, an up-tempo remake of the classic Thomas Whitfield hymn, features powerhouse vocalist San Franklin-Jackson.
WHEN A MAN WORSHIPS also includes “My Life, My Love, My Friend”, a beautifully crafted lyrical love letter to his lovely wife and the perfect wedding or anniversary celebration song. With his signature smooth crooning vocals, Williams’ includes “Wanna Be Used” that boasts an almost hypnotic hook that engages the listener in the mantra ‘Oh, I – Oh, I Wanna Be Used’. The forthcoming companion concept video for “Wanna Be Used” gives viewers a heart stirring depiction of Williams’ day-to-day duties as a surgeon and continual efforts in merging medicine and ministry.
