Kayode’s call to ministry is to speak to multigenerations through music. He affects many individuals through witnessing, and has dramatically transformed many lives through worship. Kayode served as the director of music, praise and worship leader, and youth leader at Fresh Anointing International Church in Queens, New York for more than 14 years. He recently resigned to follow the next level in ministry.
His first worship album, Arise, Holy Spirit, debuted in 2007 to much tribute from his peers. He recorded his next album titled “I Will Worship” live in New York City on August 14, 2010, which he released in the summer of 2011. He released a new album titled ‘African Praise’ in January of 2013. Besides his work at Fresh Anointing, Kayode performed in nationally acclaimed choirs and bands. He worked with and shared stage with some of Gospel’s great, including Alvin Slaughter and Damita Haddon. In November 2011, he received the Star Gospel Award, and in 2012 he received the Christian Ministry Award (CMA) artist of the year award. Kayode performed at the world famous Apollo Theater in September of 2012 and his worship concert title “Worship with Kayode and friends” in January 2013 was a great success.
His gift for music and worship was confirmed in a vision during the first 10 years of his life in Ibadan Nigeria. As a young lad Kayode saw himself worshiping God in a great company of people. From then onwards, the desire, aptitude and devotion to worship music became part of his everyday life. He led and directed several church choirs, including those at Deeper Life Bible Church and Intervarsity Christian Fellowships.
Kayode lives in New York City with his wife and two daughters.
