Daphne Richardson is an exciting Canadian RnB artiste taking the gospel industry by storm. Her unique ability to draw listeners into her stories became crystal clear after the release of her debut EP, ‘Authentic’ mid-2022. Her music showcases her fierce love for God and people through powerful vocals and impressive songwriting.
On ‘Thousands of Years’, Daphne reflects on God’s timeless sovereignty, love and intentional faithfulness. She says, “These last few years have brought various unprecedented circumstances fuelling much anxiety and fear. We know from scripture that perilous times came, went and are expected. I find peace in knowing that the same God that parted the red sea, made the sun stand still and closed the mouth of lions is the same God of today’s society. His plans for us are good and not of disaster (Jeremiah 29:11). His covenant is everlasting and stands for thousands of generations (Psalm 105:8-10).”
‘Thousands Of Years’ is a cleverly-produced track that reminds us that nothing is new, big or intimidating to God. As the author of our lives we can trust Him with every situation we face. His word is sure and we don’t need to second guess it. He knows what He’s doing. All He requires is our faith.
