Singer-songwriter-guitarist on the rise, C West, has jumped the broom with his longtime girlfriend, Katie Soriano. The couple were married earlier this month on a private estate outside of Atlanta and they honeymooned in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The attractive couple met in and have been dating since 2016. The Buffalo-New York native recently released a haunting new acoustic Pop-Folk ballad, “West” (MBE/Tyscot), about the life he dreams of having with his new bride. In the poetic pun on his surname, West plays his Taylor 214ce guitar and sings of empty gas tanks, waterfalls and the sun setting in…the west.
“I wrote this song to express my love for Katie,” says West. “I’ve always told her that she doesn’t have to change anything about herself because she is already perfect for me. As we grew deeper in love, I realized that I did want her to change one thing: her last name. In the creative process of creating this song, I wanted to do a play on words with my last name, but I really struggled. I sat down and I asked God to help me write a song about her and that’s when it all began to come together. Katie reminds me of a beautiful sunset. It rises in the east and it sets in the west. This song is about settling down.” Link: https://smarturl.it/vv3qr0
West’s eclectic debut album, “Hide and Seek” (MBE/Tyscot), was released in 2017.
