Brandon Avery Smith, is a singer/songwriter and vocal producer from Chicago who is truly on fire for Christ. Over the last few years, his gifting has caught the attention of some of the industries biggest and brightest stars and has landed him the opportunity to share the stage and open for artists such as Donald Lawrence, Vickie Winans, Fred Hammond, Hezekiah Walker, Jonathan Nelson, Smokie Norful, Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child, Mali Music, Jessica Reedy, Jonathan McReynolds, James Fortune, 21:03, and many more. His passion, however, is songwriting. “I believe that God uses me most in the capacity of songwriting. He literally speaks to me and the words just flow” says Brandon in a recent interview with Creative Classic. This past year, Smith’s work debuted in the top 20 on the Gospel Billboard Charts for his work on gospel star Damita Haddon’s latest project, Anticipation, where Brandon wrote and vocal produced 5 song including the title track, Anticipation. He has also been blessed to have his light shine in the secular world of music and has garnered the opportunity to write and vocal produce for international artists such as Dawn Richard of Danity Kane and P Diddy’s Dirty Money, Lil Mo’, Epic recording artist Glenn Lewis, and more. Now, in 2013, Brandon has been called from behind the scenes to center stage with the release of his highly anticipated new single, entitled “DAY 1”. The single went live on New Years Day and immediately received raving review and support from artists like Vashawn Mitchell, Richard Smallwood, Keyondra Lockett of Ziel, Damita Haddon, DeWayne Woods, R&B star TWEET, and many more.
