Award-Winning Kenyan Gospel Musician and TV Host, Joyce Omondi Releases “Sitaogopa” Music Video | @JoyceOmondi |

“Sitaogopa” is a song about encouraging one’s self to keep holding on to God’s promises concerning their life especially when the fulfillment of those promises seems to take so long.

“Ninakungoja Yesu/ njoo unionekanie/ naona ukitembelea wengine/ naomba unikumbuke pia/ kwa nguvu zangu nimeshindwa/ niwezeshe nikutazamie/ Mfalme wa amani/ ngao tena mlinzi/ nishikilie nisimame” (Swahili)

“I am waiting for you Jesus / come see me / I see you visiting others / please remember me too / in my strength I have failed / enable me to look forward to you / Prince of peace / shield again guard / hold me and stand” (English)

Joyce sings.

Joyce had the following to say about Sitaogopa, which was produced by Dominic Khaemba and the video directed by Trey Juelz:

“I actually wrote this song several years ago when I was anxious about critical decisions I had to make that would involve major life transitions. But it’s amazing how music can be written for one purpose and completely serve an even greater one later in life.

Today, this song is an encouragement to everyone around the world whose prayers seem to have gone unanswered for so long. It is for those among us who are sick, unemployed, discouraged or scared of tomorrow. We must fight fear with faith. Keep believing. Keep trusting. Keep holding on to Hope. Usiogope.”

Sitaogopa is available on all digital platforms including Boomplay, Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon, Spotify and Deezer.
