TeeJAH PRAYze has experienced both sides of the industry as performer and music producer. She has also achieved mainstream recognition on the pop circuit and cult status in the club and dancehall scene.
Her Reggae influences came from her growing up between London, England and Kingston, Jamaica. Like many Caribbean families, her first musical experiences came through her church choir.
Her first real professional experience came as a member of the late 1990’s pop R’n’B group “Fierce”, made up of Sabrina and two other south London friends. Whilst achieving a couple of National Top Ten hits, they made their name as a live female trio who was nominated for a Mobo award back in the 90’s. Amongst the stars they supported live included Whitney Houston, P Diddy, and E-17.
After the group split in 2001, Sabrina returned to her first love of writing, performing and producing Reggae influenced songs. Over the past 10 years she has written and produced for a few local artistes, and performed with major Reggae stalwarts such as Freddie McGregor, Buju Banton and Movado. She has supported acts on major UK and Jamaica Reggae tours such as Bounty Killa, and Beres Hammond.
Now a born again Christian, TeeJAH has accumilated enough recognition to take her solo career to the nations, and with the support of her ministry, (Love to life worldwide ministries), her Pastor, friends and familes, and the fans who knew her when she was a secular artiste, she has got what it takes to spread the Gospel, and with God rooted inside her, there is no stopping….
Be prepared as Teejah PRAYze bounces back with her first debut entitled “I Cry”. In her words, ”Young people, i am comin for you….be prepared!!
