AUDIO: Harvest Favour – ”Father’s Love” | @Harvfy |

FATHER’S LOVE by Harvest Favour; (a dynamic contemporary gospel artiste of the well known classic tune “Hold of Me” and several others), is a tribute to her late father, the iconic Archbishop David Eberechukwu who departed the shores of the earth to be with the Lord on the 17th of September, 2017.

Harvest Favour pours out her heart and soul into this song, filling it with deep lyrics dripping with passion, tears and pain for the intending joyful memories that slipped off her hands consequent upon her father’s rest.

However she consoles and pledges to live on her father’s unique qualities, values and to live on his God!

Her inspiration came from that night after much thoughts, prayers, and the father’s fights to stay back for her! But it was his time!

Archbishop David Eberechukwu loved his daughter and indeed his wife and all his children in a way that many could not understand. While he yet lived, he was the symbol of a rare kind of fatherly love, a father every daughter would pray to have, a Father every son would hope to be.

This song reminisces the great times and the tough times with a loving Father. It reveals the life lessons but also expresses the sorrow and pain that can only come from the loss of such a love- Father’s Love.

FATHER’S LOVE LYRICS

Father’s love oh father’s love
Father’s love father’s love

You said everything will be alright
You said everything will be ok
You said everything will be alright
You said everything will be ok

How confident I was
I prayed and held you
Oh how you really fought
You fought so much to stay
Iroko great heart.

The struggle to be there for me
The fight to hold my hand
The short race to take my hand
To take me to my man
Iroko great heart
(But it’s your time)

Oh you are not gone
You got you in me
I’ll live on your big heart
I’ll live on your smile
I’ll live on your strength
I’ll live on your boldness
I’ll live on your large heart
I’ll live on your great price
I’ll live on your great name
I’ll live on your God

Father’s love oh father’s love
Father’s love, father’s love

You taught me so much to learn pleasure and destiny
To hold on to the latter
To hold on to your God
Just like Jesus
You’re done and you are gone
My own daddy, my everything
My love joy and pride, my everything
My earthly King, my everything

I miss you
I love you

Father’s love oh father’s love
Father’s love, father’s love.

  2. Hmmmmmmmmm… The emotions she felt while singing this song didn’t let her voice be audible enough to the listener or better, to me. I have just read the lyrics to see some of them as I didn’t hear it clearly while you sang. Well done anyway. RIP to your Dad. Be comforted in his God.
