“Half Dead (feat. JGivens)” is the new single from Cataphant’s upcoming EP of the same name. The song is about battling aggression with kindness and redirecting the impulse to fight toward laying one’s life down for others, especially those who consider themselves enemies.

The upcoming Half Dead EP is Cataphant’s first EP under her new moniker. Originally a folk artist, Cataphant collaborated this time around with gifted producer Ohmega Watts to produce a more eclectic, electronic sound. The subject matter of the project is the different forms of death that happen within a life characterized by spiritual rebirth. I.e. dying to the self, walking through pain & suffering, and allowing healing to take place through life’s hardest moments.
