The justice system may fail us. But God won’t. They may only see the color of your skin. But God sees so much more. We bring you a song that illustrates the struggle but reminds us of where we find peace.

”Always There” wriiten by Benjamin Harrel and performed by Paul Thompson, gives listeners a glimpse into the emotion and pain felt by minorities as a result of racial injustices. The song speaks of the struggle but reminds us to love through the hate and that we can find peace through God.

Benjamin said, ”I never imagined to see riots in my hometown of Baltimore because of this senseless violence. I knew then that I had to do something. I decided to write this song to voice the frustration of those whose voice will never get heard.

”Sam Cooke wrote a song entitled A Change Is Gonna Come. I write this song as an extension of his. Change is something that we are still fighting for. And no fight worth fighting will be won overnight.

The pledge of allegiance still reads “one nation under God”. “This senseless violence will attempt to separate us by race but we are one people.”
