straight-up gospel helped pave the way for what’s one of the most important milestone’s in any artist’s journey—namely finding his/her own unique voice.

honing her craft has clearly paid off. 2013 has proven to be an eventful year for the Artist. In June, DaniRob headlined a post game performance for the WNBA San Antonio Silvers. Blessed in August with an Off-Broadway debut as Grace in JD Lawrence’s stage play “Cain & Able”. While taking part in several evangelism classes over the past several years and beginning to understand her unique purpose, her specific place in this crazy world, songs naturally began to pour out. But these weren’t just reflections and melodies with believers in mind, mind you. These were songs that reached beyond the four walls of the church for everyone to hear. “Regardless of someone’s church background, I want everyone to be able to relate to my music,” DaniRob says. “I write songs with the whole world in mind, and I want everyone to find something about my
music that connects with him or her.”

When she began writing songs it was immediately important for DaniRob to set the right tone. And for DaniRob, there was really no better way than with a very personal worship song, “In Your Presence.” “Right from the start, I wanted a song that expressed Who—and what—God is to me,” DaniRob shares. “When I was going through a rough transition and needed to be close to Him, I began writing this song. I found peace, love and joy in His presence and inevitably wanted to give Him the glory.”

In addition to highlighting DaniRob’s beautiful, expressive vocals in a song that gives praise to Whom all praise is due, “In His Presence” is also a standout sonically. Mixed by Grammy Award-winning engineer John “Yosh” Jaszcz (Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton), it also features performances by San Antonio Symphony principal cellist Kenneth Fruedigman, Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church string and horn arranger Omar Martinez and international percussionist Luis Conte.

Also showcasing her versatility as a performer, “Superman” is a personal moment of pure pop bliss. A meaningful tribute to her best friend, her dad, “Superman” celebrates all the good fathers out there, not to mention the mentors, grandfathers and the like who stand in the gap for so many young women. “My dad is my best friend, and because of his love, I didn’t feel the need to seek validation from other men to boost my self esteem,” DaniRob says. “My father’s actions always reflected the God who was in his heart, and because of that, I developed a relationship with God for myself. Because of that, and so much more, he’ll always be my Superman.” Mixed by Grammy-Award winning mixing engineer Rob Chiarelli (Mary Mary, Christina Aguilera), “Superman” is an anthem that can’t help but get stuck in your head, which is exactly what DaniRob intended. “Working on this album allowed me to express myself in so many ways, and a song like ‘Superman’ is proof,” DaniRob concludes. “Part of the fun of being an artist is incorporating all your influences into your cohesive sound, and that’s exactly what I was able to do on this project. And now, I’m just so excited for everyone to hear it.”

“Forgive”, began as a song about DaniRob’s life, but quickly evolved into something much bigger. God began showing her the pain, hurt, and struggles so many people go through resulting in un-forgiveness. This song was never meant to be exclusively for believers, but all humanity. We will never experience the joy life brings, if we don’t “Forgive”.
