Marcus McFarlin, also known as “Elder Mac”, is a young vocalist, producer, song writer and musician from the city of Milwaukee.
Marcus simply loves to praise the Lord. Since the age of twelve, Marcus believed that God began to place victorious melodies and songs into his heart. Today, Elder Mac has proven to be an innovative and anointed musician who loves to exalt the Lord through the ministry of music and radical praise. Since his solo debut in 2005, Marcus has grown to be an accomplished writer, producer, and composer. His debut single, “He’s Coming Back” was released in 2007 under his own indie label, Pneuma Records (in association with Elder Mac Entertainment). In the song, his goal is clearly to remind us that Jesus Christ is soon to return. This song caught the attention of many listeners allowing him to gain national attention from Anointed Pages Magazine. Elder Mac was then nominated for two AP Awards and the winner of the “2008 Male Soloist of the Year” award.
Elder Mac’s debut project, “Addicted to Praise”, was released in August of 2011. The high energy, praise motivated songs have already begun to bless listeners across the country. Stellar Award winning artist, Pastor Marvin Sapp, describes Elder Mac as a “singer-extraordinaire“. Elder Mac was also crowned as Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole’s 2011 SMC (Singers and Musicians Conference) “Best Male Soloist”. Elder Mac’s skill for writing uplifting songs of praise was greatly displayed by his composition of “Come Bless the Lord” recorded by major gospel recording artist Zacardi Cortez (album: “The Introduction” -2012). Marcus’ latest single, “I’m Comin’ Out”, gained him National attention making him the winner of The UpTV Network’s 2014 Most Powerful Voice National competition.
His unique, powerful, and original style has allowed him to share the stage with many mainstream gospel and R&B artist such as Donnie McClurkin ,singing background for Dawkins & Dawkins, opening artist for Mary-Mary, Eve, Fabolous, Marvin Sapp, Mario, Dr. Bobby Jones, Donald Lawrence, Fred Hammond, Tye Tribbett, Vickie Winans , Deitrick Haddon, Yolanda Adams, Canton Jones, Geoffrey Golden, Jessica Reedy and many more.
He has made appearances on the Trinity Broadcast Network, TCT Network, Uplifting Entertainment Network, The Dorinda Show, the world’s largest music fest known as Summerfest, African World Festival, Chicago Gospel Fest, Jam4Peace, and many churches across the states.
