Inspirational artist and vocal prodigy Anita Faye has released a brand new soul stirring single titled ”Cast My Cares”, off her soon to be released album.
Anita Faye is an accomplished singer/songwriter/recording artist who possesses a truly authentic voice. Anita Faye made history by being the first vocalist to perform the Black National Anthem (“Lift Every Voice and Sing”) live at a Major League Baseball game at Boston’s Fenway Park. Among her many musical experiences, Anita has performed nationally and internationally, including the 53rd National Delta Sigma Theta Convention, Trinidad and Tobago, the Monterey Gospel Festival, and Sherry Gordy’s Take the Stage Showcase in Las Vegas.
Anita Faye’s latest project is scheduled for release in spring 2018. The 12-song studio album features an array of musical influences including traditional gospel, gospel jazz, neo-soul, Contemporary Christian (CCM) and Gospel reggae. The first single “Cast My Cares” is a soul stirring ballad that is already creating a buzz, this song has been called an instant classic. Cast My Cares has all the elements of a truly great musical work: an arresting sound, strong lyrical content, and passionate expression–in this case conveyed by an authentic, soaring voice embodied in Anita Faye.
Other songs on the album include “I Gotta Know,” a punchy foot-stomping piece with a heartfelt message; “Kingdom Journey,” a soulful song with a Jill Scott vibe; and “Untraceable” which pays homage to grandma and her faith. “With gladness” draws on Caribbean influences for a reggae flavored gospel praise, and “PUSH” offers a bouncy, youthful hip-hop vibe that encourages us to “pray until something happens.”
The album also features a song written and produced by Grammy award winner and music legend, Betty Wright. Anita mesmerizes with a blend of life, faith and creativity.
