Fresh from having five Nominations in the Africa Gospel Awards (Artiste of the Year *Song of the Year *Album of the Year * Artiste of the Year (West Africa) & *Event of the Year (God Dey Bless Ghana Concert), Cwesi Oteng decided to release the perfect song for the occasion with the title “Count Your Blessings” (I’ll Not Forget). The song is basically a song to appreciate God’s blessing and faithfulness for the Year thus far. And guess what, it’s a classic Rock tune.
Cwesi said “Count Your Blessings” drops like a bomb. It will blow your mind!!! Straight from my heart to Jesus. The Song was composed to invoke an atmosphere of gratitude and remembrance of all that the Lord has done for you”.
Have you ever been in that realm where you are in the mood of worship then that tears that you can’t actually explain the reason for it starts coming out from your eyes, and then your mouth opens and you start blasting in that language that no man but God can interpret or explain? This is the kind of song that puts in that mood. This is it.
It’s off Cwesi Oteng’s “Mercy Project” Album which is available for download on iTunes
Cwesi talks about the song this way, “A personal favourite on the #MercyProjectAlbum: Jehovah Thy Great Name We Praise. I received this song one day in my spirit one day while driving on the Accra-Tema Motorway and began singing the chorus. When I got home I tried as much as i can to remember the song but it was gone, I had forgotten. 3 days later, the song came again into my spirit on the Accra-Tema Motorway, the exact same spot I got to when the song came 3 days before. This time round I managed to record on my phone while I sang it. Song carries a great anointing and was evident when I ministered it with my team at CEM during the Legon edition of my Campus Tour. God was teaching me about the mercies and power in His names. No wonder scripture says: ‘…the name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous run to it and are saved.’ May you obtain help as you listen and mention His names. His names have special meanings and He swiftly responds when you mention them”.
BOADIWAA, known as Boadiwaa Delanyo Donkor (Mrs) born Boadiwaa Ofori-Amoateng is a contemporary African gospel musician and song writer currently based in her home country Ghana. Born to Ghanaian parents, third of four children. She spent most of her growing years in Kumasi the second largest city in Ghana.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and works as a Billing Systems Engineer at MTN, Ghana’s largest telecommunication company. Although a Computer Engineer she says Music and Gospel Music especially is her passion and her calling.
She believes its only music that gets into ones soul without their permission, so why not put the eternal word and principles of God into music and get them into your soul so when the issues of life begin to overtake you there will be a firm foundation of the word in your subconscious to face life head on. She believes God loves to hear his children worship and praise him with their voices and that is exactly what she seeks to do.
Her songs are inspired by her relationship with God, her experiences in life and most importantly the written word of God. It’s been a long road to this point but she believes the journey has just began and she’s looking forward to being a blessing to the whole world with the gift she feels so privileged to have received from God above the father of light and the giver of every good and perfect gift.
She is happily married and lives in Accra with her family.
Here is Boadiwaa with “Adom”. ADOM …A gospel song to exalt the Undeserving yet Abounding and Unearned yet Unfailing Grace of the Most High All-Loving Mighty GOD.
