News: NASHVILLE LIFE CHRISTIAN CHURCH PREPARES TO COVER THE HOMELESS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

Nashville Life Christian Church (NLCC) is collecting toiletries, clothes, winter coats and blankets for Covering Nashville – an initiative to cover homeless families in Nashville this cold, holiday season. Pastors Alvin and CeCe Love started NLCC in March 2012 to empower passionate people to influence and impact nations for the cause of the Kingdom. Since its start, the church has grown to over 100 families, young adults and couples. Services are Sundays at 2:00 P.M. in Wallace Chapel on the campus of Christ Church-Brentwood.

Officials with the Metro Homelessness Commission report that Nashville has about 4,000 homeless individuals, families, and children on any given night. Last year, the Nashville Metro Public Schools reported having 2,049 homeless children in their school system. However, not all homeless children are accounted for – it is noted that most parents who are homeless do not report their living status for fear of losing their children.

As the holiday season approaches, Nashville Life Christian Church (NLCC) is boldly taking on the challenge to collect more than 1,000 blankets for homeless individuals and families in Nashville to hand deliver them on Saturday, November 23rd. NLCC is also asking the community to donate toiletries, clothes, sleeping bags and blankets to this endeavor, in hopes to provide extra comfort during the cold, winter months approaching.

“As the pastor of this church, we are blessed to be a blessing to those who are less fortunate. Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these, my brothers and sisters; you were doing it to me.’ We are hopeful that others will hear about our efforts and want to contribute to this worthy cause. There are thousands of men, women and even children who are living on the streets of Nashville, and we as a church feel the responsibility to help those in need.” -Alvin Love, II Senior Pastor of Nashville Life Christian Church

About Nashville Life Christian Church
In November 2011, Alvin and CeCe Love hosted a discipleship ministry school in their home led by Bram and Dianne Manusama from Melbourne, Australia.  Most of the attendees were young adults who were their son Alvin’s friends and acquaintances. The school was so successful that the Loves asked the Manusamas to return in March 2012. This time more than 80 people participated and their lives were radically changed.  After seeing how many individuals were transformed, Alvin and CeCe asked how many of those who attended were without a church home.  About half of the hands went up, and the Loves knew it was time to start the work.  It was crystal clear to them both that this was the time to raise up a congregation, and Nashville Life Christian Church was birthed. On March 28, 2012, Nashville Life held it’s first official service in the Love’s home with thirty-four people in attendance.  It now meets in Wallace Chapel on the campus of Christ Church.

  1. Dear Pastor

We were forced to move out last month from our Home we rent in Green Hills and we recently moved. We had to spend a great deal of money to Make the Move which included paying the last months rent to our former landlord who basically left us without a place to live, a deposit for a new place and First months rent. We also had expenses to Move and transfer all of our services.

    We Need help for Christmas.

We have Twin boys who are 9 and attend Percy Priest School at the moment. They both are so excited about Christmas. We are so discouraged as we have no way to provide them anything for Christmas this year. We really need prayer and if you know of anyone who would like to help us, We would love to meet with you. We want them to be happy on Christmas Morning. We all know that Christmas is not about the Gifts, but we want our kids to be happy this year, We all went through a lot of stress during the last month.

My wife works Full time, but I do not have steady employment. Please pray for us and contact us if you know anyone who might like to help. Any help is greatly appreciated. May God Bless Your Ministry!!!
