Music Video: ROBERT E. PERSON – “GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS” [Official Video]

Washington, DC — Robert E. Person’s award winning project SOUL SANCTUARY is a jazz infused, contemporary gospel musical master piece. Person is premiering the official video for his current radio single from the project, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”.

Even with the innovative jazz arrangements and stylishly savvy vocal performances on the CD, it is Person’s desire is to keep classic hymns thriving in gospel music. “I believe it’s my responsibility as a psalmist to keep the great hymns of the church alive,” he shares. “There’s nothing like a good ole hymn to get you thru the rough times. Sometimes when you don’t know what to say, a hymn comes to mind. And when you don’t know what to pray, a hymn comes to mind.”

With the help of noted jazz pianist Allyn Johnson, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” embodies the essence of a classic hymn with a contemporary twist of jazz flare. “I am grateful for God’s tremendous gift of new mercies every day. I’ve sung this hymn all of my life,” Person explains. “What amazes me (as I get older) is the fact that it’s becomes new every time I’m blessed to sing it. Not to mention, it’s an incredible arrangement.”

The visually stunning video was filmed in Washington DC at the beautiful Holy Comforter – Saint Cyprian Catholic Church and the breathtaking West Potomac Park. Beautiful sanctuary shots and magnificent springtime cherry blossom colorations where captured by videographer Brad Baerwald of Studio 51 of Maryland. Creative direction and concept was powered by The Bellamy Group of Tennessee.

Mother’s Day Dedication – “All I have needed Thy hand hath provided.”

As we celebrate and cherish Mothers, Person dedicates this video to his Best Gift from God: His Mother, Ruby Person. “A mother’s love is as close as we can get to God’s love,” Person acknowledges. “Mothers are our first providers and on this Mother’s day I am reminded that my mom’s love is consistent and constant just as God’s love for me.”
