Miss O and Friends Announces App for Tween Girls to Give and Get Advice That is Coppa Compliant and Completely By Girls, for Girls | @missoandfriends |

Miss O and Friends, a tween girl focused media company, just launched their first app called the Girl2Girl Wall that is COPPA compliant and bully-free.

“We’re excited to launch a socialization app that is solely focused on positive conversations and interactions where girls help and support other girls,” says Juliette Blake, co-founder of Miss O and Friends. “Our mission is to help young girls build self-esteem. We’ve been doing this with our website over the last 12 years by building a safe platform where girls can express themselves, blog, create content, talk about their issues, and ask & answer questions. This is key to empowering young girls and our new Girl2Girl Wall app extends that platform.”

Developed with Pinsight Media, a division of Sprint, the Girl2Girl Wall is a safe COPPA compliant socialization app geared towards girls ages 8-14. All submissions are screened by real people to ensure there is no identifiable information, bullying, hate language, swear words, and the content is appropriate for the tween girl community. Submissions failing to meet these requirements will simply not be posted on the app. “We want to make sure that not only are we protecting personally identifiable information, but also protecting girls from bullying, which is why we take the moderation so seriously. As a parent myself, it’s my number one priority,” says Hermine Brindak, co-founder of Miss O and Friends. “Our community is all about girls being able to honestly express themselves, and it’s important they feel comfortable and safe when asking those awkward questions knowing they aren’t going to be criticized or bullied.”

With over 35 groups ranging from pets, celebs, friends and boys to advice, coping, puberty and bullying, the Girl2Girl Wall has a variety of groups for girls. “As the father of a young daughter, I was really excited to get to work with the team at Miss O and Friends on the Girl2Girl Wall app. What could feel better than helping to build a safe, creative space where girls can be their best selves?” says Eric Haar, Senior Manager of Mobile Apps at Pinsight Media.

“So many girls think they are alone with the things they’re dealing with, but that is so not the case,” says Blake. “We have girls from India who are dealing with the same boy problem a girl from Alabama is asking about. We have girls from New York who are giving friendship advice to a girl in the UK. Girls helping girls is really powerful, and by creating an environment where it’s cool to do that, just imagine how much good can come from it.”

The Girl2Girl Wall is now available for free on both iOS and Android.
