KJScrivenChristian artist and Grammy-award winning songwriter, KJ Scriven, is set to release his new EP “Chasing The Wind” on October 28, 2016, which is a live studio project. KJ called on a few of his music and life brothers to give the creative undergirding to his lyrical content: Greg Cox on piano, Nelson Moore on drums and Jamareo Artis (bassist for Bruno Mars) on bass. Here is KJ’s heart behind this project:

“Chasing The Wind is in direct response to the American dream. It is based around Ecclesiastes 2, where Solomon states all the things he accomplishes, everything he possesses, and everybody he knows. He realizes that none of those things brings him joy and that all of it is like chasing after the wind. This EP is my story and many others story wrapped up in that same narrative; that nothing we accomplish, nothing we possess and nobody we know, brings us fulfillment and meaning, but knowing God does. It also tackles the idea that gaining acceptance from God by your
works is like chasing after the wind too. Grace is a free gift that was bought by Jesus with His blood and we should simply accept it instead of trying to earn it.”

On Wednesday, KJ announced the forthcoming EP, released one of the songs “Mr. Superman” via video footage from the session and him joining the powerful “The Poets In Autumn” tour for its final leg.
